Welcome!
My name is Nicole,
I am a OCN Level 5 certified Sleep Practitioner and former nursery teacher with over fifteen years of experience working closely with babies, young children, and their families.
I have always been passionate about children and their development, which led me to study Psychology at university with a focus on child development.
One area I have always been particularly drawn to is attachment theory and the powerful bond between children and their parents, a relationship formed in the early years that lays the foundations for emotional and cognitive development throughout life.

Through my studies and professional experience, I have learned how important it is for parents to be responsive and emotionally available, supporting children to co-regulate their emotions and build this vital bond.
At the same time, I firmly believe that both children and parents deserve good quality sleep.
Sleep, alongside nutrition and movement, is one of the three pillars of health, so it makes sense to value our children’s sleep just as much as we value healthy food and daily physical activity.
My approach

Much of the sleep advice available online is contradictory and polarised.
At one extreme, parents are encouraged to follow rigid, one size fits all routines that overlook a child’s individual needs and can leave parents feeling disconnected from their instincts.
At the other, parents are told that any structure risks harming their child, leaving nights feeling chaotic, exhausting, and overwhelming.
Caught between these two extremes, many families are left unsure of what truly supports both their child and themselves, often carrying unnecessary guilt or shame for simply wanting better sleep.

As a mother of a young child, I have experienced these feelings first hand. I asked myself the same questions many parents do: can I support my child’s sleep while remaining responsive, present, and emotionally available?
The answer is yes.
Through further research and training, I realised that better sleep is possible in a way that benefits both children and parents, while remaining gentle, respectful, and responsive.
Sleep support does not have to come at the cost of emotional connection.
I completed my OCN Level 5 Sleep Practitioner training in 2023 and continue to keep up to date with the latest research and evidence. I apply science-based information in a practical, common sense way that feels achievable for real families.

By combining my background in psychology, my years of hands on experience with young children and parents, and my specialist sleep training, I support families in achieving more restful nights, while nurturing secure attachment and emotional wellbeing.
